How do I set up the BuzzStream Link Building Outreach Module for Microsoft Exchange?
Exchange settings will be unique to your organization.
The person who administers your organization’s Exchange Server will have access to the outgoing mail server settings (NOTE: once this information is entered into BuzzStream, the password information will not be visible to other BuzzStream users).
How do I configure my out going mail server settings?
To set up the Mail Server:
- Click on ‘Settings’ in the top right-hand corner of the app
- Go to the ‘Mail Server’ tab (Note: this tab is only available to BuzzStream administrators and to people who have been assigned a BuzzStream role that allows mail server setup).
Enter the information that was provided to you by your Exchange Server Administrator or IT staff. This will include your outgoing mail (SMTP) server, your account username, and password in to the corresponding fields.
Your Exchange Server Administrator or IT staff may provide you advanced settings as well. This includes encryption type (None, SSL, TLS) and Port Number . Use the drop down to set the encryption type. Enter the Port Number using the text field.
Click Save. BuzzStream automatically tests your Outgoing Mail Server settings for you.
If you’ve entered the correct information, you will see the message “Your email server settings have been updated”.
BuzzStream also sends an email to the account you authenticated with (username/email address) during the testing process to confirm that your settings are correct.
