Import Link Partners
Step-by-Step Instructions
You can import your link partner contacts into BuzzStream from a CSV file.
First, download our CSV import template so you can quickly get your data into the correct column ordering.

Here’s a quick preview of how the CSV file will look if you open it with Excel and start pasting your data into the appropriate columns.
Once you get all of your data into the appropriate columns, click “Save As,” choose CSV as the format, and give your file a name.
Then Excel will prompt you with two dialog boxes–click Ok” and “Yes” when prompted.
Now, login to BuzzStream and go to the “Link Partners” tab and click “Import Contacts”.
Click the “Browse…” button and select the CSV file that you want to import and then click Upload.
The upload will begin. Once complete, you will see the following message:
Your upload is done and you’ll be sent an e-mail once the import is complete. It may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours for an import to complete, depending on the size.
What happens if I import the same link or link partner more than once?
All duplicate link partners are skipped during the import. Duplicate links are also skipped, but only if they are completely identical. If, for example, the ‘Linking From’ field has already been saved, but the ‘Linking From’ and ‘Anchor Text’ fields are different, than a new link is created.
How do I export my contacts from BuzzStream?
You can export your BuzzStream contacts into a .CSV file. CSV files can be viewed opened in spreadsheets, databases and e-mail systems (e.g., Microsoft Outlook and Gmail).
- To export People, go to PR and Social Media>People and click Export Contacts
- To export Media Outlets, go to PR and Social Media>Media Outlets and click Export Contacts
- To export Link Partners, go to Link Building>Link Partners and click Export Contacts
- To export Links, go to Link Building>Links and click Export Contacts
